Current Era (1992-Present)

Advancement during this current Era continues to distinguish Troop 13 from other Troops across the country. Troop 13 produces a remarkably high number of Eagle Scouts each year; since the first Eagle Scout in 1923, Frank Watt, there have been over 370 and counting. That’s almost 10x the average per year nationwide.

Troop 13 has built pride and camaraderie in the hearts of its Scouts. As their saying goes, “Once a Troop 13 Scout, always a Troop 13 Scout”. This was especially true for the Bachman brothers who went on to visit the North Pole and brought the Kenilworth Troop 13 flag with them.

The official Scouts policy has changed to include any uniform or uniform compenent that has ever been approved for use. While most aspects of the official Scout uniform have changed over the years, the campaign hat has remained a constant since the beginning of Scouting.
